Suzy was born in Surrey and studied art at Brighton Polytechnic, followed by
graphic design at Goldsmiths’ College, London. She has had a career as
a graphic designer working in point of sale, advertising and publishing.

Suzy’s passion for painting was rekindled in 2001 whilst being tutored by successful textile artist and painter Jean Hammond.

Since then, as a way of maintaining a fresh approach, she has explored a variety of styles, subjects and media. Suzy has considered one theme at a time, working with a highly analytical approach. Many of the resulting paintings can be viewed on this website.

Motivated by constantly challenging herself with new ideas and techniques in order
to grow and develop as an artist, Suzy feels she is on an exciting, enjoyable and continual learning curve!

Recently Suzy has embarked on a series of exploratory abstract paintings based on an imaginary journey of life. Click here to view these works.

Suzy has exhibited widely in Surrey, Sussex and London and has sold work to both corporate and private buyers in the UK, The Netherlands, U.S.A, Israel, Brazil and Japan. There is a permanent collection of her work at Crawley Hospital, W.Sussex and a collection of commissioned works at Roband Electronics PLC, Surrey.

Suzy is a resident artist at the Fountain Gallery, Hampton Court, an Associate Member of the National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers, a member of the Surrey Artists Network and a member of Surrey Artists Open Studios.
