Colour Line & Form Composition No.4

Description

This painting is part of a series of works where I have been exploring the key elements of artistic expression.

Colour, line, form, texture, shape, value, and space are the seven core elements of art.  They often overlap and inform one another.

In this painting my key objective was to explore the visual effects of dividing the canvas into horizontal lines of varying shapes. For the colours, I used thin layers of acrylic inks built up of greens, purples and magentas & dark blue in varying degrees of tones.
