This painting is part of a series of works where I have been exploring the key elements of artistic expression.
Texture, shape, line, colour, form, value, and space are the seven core elements of art. They often overlap and inform one another.
In this painting my key objective was to explore the visual effects of textural mark making using various palette knife techniques within the confines of geometric shapes and a limited nature inspired colour palette.
