Description
This painting is part of a series of works where I have been exploring the key elements of artistic expression.
Texture, shape, line, colour, form, value, and space are the seven core elements of art. They often overlap and inform one another.
In this painting my key objective was to explore the visual effects of textural mark making and visual optical effects using various palette knife techniques and brushes within the confines of defined curved and straight shapes, using warm reds and oranges with contrasting dark tonal areas.
